Monstermile ...
I think serverpimp is talking about something different than you posted.
He is talking about the HD AIR HORN and NOT a horn cover.
Yes I realize that. My post was just to agree with how sometimes vague and other times overly-complex the instructions for HD parts can be.

Ok, not hard to figure out to not wastemoney on a HD air horn. I like the mini-beast look and sound a lot better. Not to mention the price for two parts from harley versus one part for a lot cheaper for the Mini.

Dang, looks like I have work to do this weekend then to get the wiring straightened out. Thanks for the expert advise. I'm glad I asked the question now.

I have the oil cooler sitting on the bench as my next project. That is after I get my horn wiring taken care of.

I chickened out on the oil pump install on both our 07's.
I had the Dealer install them at their 1k service.
I figured paying them $65 (each)to install them
was fair expecially since the 1k service was FREE !
Paid MSRP with no freight or setup either

My HD horn does sound like a boat horn, but it has snapped more than one daydreaming cage back into her lane.

The best was the clueless woman who decided it was OK to toss her lit cigarette out the window right as I was passing her on the interstate. The cigmissed my head by inches and because her window was stilldown she got the full force of the HDboat horn.

Loud pipes are cool, but loud horns make them pause and look for the 18 wheelerabout to crush 'em!

So how hard is it to install the HD Premium air horn? I keep hearing people say it's simple and other say it's an nightmare. I'd like to get it, but I don't want to have to partially pull my tank and start splicing wires. I have an '06 RK.
