Default Dresser duals dragging ground

'16 SGS. Stock rear suspension, no passenger and front dropped 1/2". Dresser duals and CFR KO's. The right side front cyl lower heat shield touched down before the floorboard in a slow right hand corner.

I do know of the power duals doing this but did not know the dresser duals did this. Lowered front or not, if they touch prior to the boards that's not good.

I just dropped the front that wee bit and went around the neighborhood to check for this and dragged it. It was a good bit louder than a board dragging. Thought for sure it was the boards but upon inspection, the asphalt dust was obvious.

I did some goggling and it seems this does exist. 1 guy even had board extensions and his drug prior to the board and no lowering at all.

Amazing. I looked at my bike and the floorboards would hit first, then the pipe. I have no clue how this can happen.

Good luck finding the fix.

On my bike (2013 FLTRX) I run Cobra Power Port duals and CFR mufflers. I have Kury board extensions which move them out 1" and forward 1". I run a 13" spring shock and stock height mono tubes. The lower portion of my lower head pipe is scraped to hell from cornering on off camber canyon roads. My floorboards have never scraped.

I have dresser duals on my SG and the bottom heat shield is scratched all to chit. It has scraped more than once. V&H wants almost as much for the heat shield as a new set of pipes.

I have dresser duals on my 09 SG. Lowered 1" in rear and 2" in front and have never had any issues with scraping, except the floorboards.
