Default Check engine light

Situation:
1. At startup check engine light illuminates and then goes off which is normal
2. When riding check engine light and sometimes security light illuminates and then goes off (happens frequently during riding)
3. I found and cleared codes, checked fluids but situation continues to happen.

Would appreciate any guidance/advice on whether this is a serious problem and if I need to take to dealer or if I can troubleshoot myself.

Thanks in advance for any information provided.

What were the codes? Bike could be trying to tell you something?

Looks like you already know how to pull codes, but anyway - for reference.

Could be anything from muffler bearings to blinker fluid. Without the specific codes we know far less than you do.

Probable coming from mods and piggyback connections or from careless unplugging and making connections. Wait to they reappear and take to a qualified dealer.. U0141 - Lost Communication I think? B1306 make sure the wire to the oil level sender is making a tight connection. Make sure of the battery connection and it is fully charged with a two day continuous run of the maintenance charger.

See if this helps... It's not good news but at least it's something:

The Fuel Moto site has very good instructions for retrieving codes but the list of codes is old.
Here are a few pages from the 2015 Electrical Diagnostic Manual:

Good Luck
