I have a scala rider communication headset. I can't believe Harley won't allow me to pair it. That's messed up. Anyone know if they will ever allow it. I like to communicate with my husband who rides his own bike.

 

There are a bunch of threads on here about this. Harley is not addressing the issue, I don't know of any aftermarket company's (Scala, Sena, etc.) that have figured out a way to communicate with the Harley system, or if they have they are not going to market it. And from checking out different threads on this forum I do not believe anybody has worked a good hack yet.

 

In fact, people have figured a way to do it in the aftermarket world. Check threads on this topic, member CptCarrera is probably the most versed on this subject. He has all the info you would need and is very helpful.

 

AKE has a product that plugs into your headset cord and you can leave it under the seat. Then they have a sending unit that plugs into the hole where the headset wire was. Now you turn that on and sync your phone and helmet to the bike. Works great. Can't think of the name of it at the moment. Sorry I'm on my third bourbon..........
