I did the 3.37 change and loved the change it made to my bike, but the extra rpm's for all day crusing at 75-80mph were too much for me...I ended up with the SE 6 speed and now I have the best of both worlds

What was the tooth count of the clutch basket and sprocket that you removed?

My FSM shows clutch basket = 36, and motor sproket = 25.

This does not seem like much of a change over all, just two teeth combined.

I've had 3.37 gearing in my last two bikes & I would never go back to 3.15.

The two teeth combined make a world of a difference in ride ability and power, but not enough to sacrifice too much RPM, IMO.

And if I understand this right it also has zero effect on the speedo accuracy, since that is aft, geared from the tranny and rear wheel which is not changed?

Yes, that is true. Trans output side monitors speed for the speedometer. In effect, the engine has to turn more revolutions to make the tire turn 1 revolution, thus RPM to MPH is changed, not speedo accuracy.

This does sound interesting! I wonder that the over all change would be when you hop up the engine?

If this makes the bike run that much more efficiently with a basic stock engine, what effect will the same gearing upgrade be with, tossing in 95 jugs, heads with porting, cam, gear drive for cam and DTT??

What effects will it have on a dyno tune if you change to the 3.37 after it has been dyno tuned with the 3.15?
Will it need to be dynoed again?

My thoughts are also with the 95" upgrade. What effect will it have. I don't have the 95" yet. But I do plan on it in the future.
