Default Tall Street Glide riders... Which windshield?

I'm going through the which windshield phase... I'm 6'6 and need help. I demoed the HD 10 and 7" wind splitters and the 10" worked great for buffeting and being able to hear the radio but I didn't like the design/look of it on my SGS. I obviously can't demo all of them so which ones worked for you? Thank you! Pics are also helpful!

Well, I have the HD 10"Windsplitter and I like it pretty well. I am also 6'6", btw. I would actually like it if it was taller so I am thinking of another, probably Long Ride Shields since they have the height I want to try.
What they look like is really subjective. I like the looks of the Windsplitter and I really like the bottom edges which are out over the speakers. I' expectations seen no other windshield that has those edge extensions.
Maybe you can do what I plan on; wait till LRS is having one of their sales and get one to try.

I'm 6'6" also.......using a LRS 7" for short hops and a 8" for longer hops. I've had my stock seat lowered and also have a C&C Solo which is lower. A lowered seat makes a difference for shorter shields.

Man, you will get all kinds of answers, but here's mine. I'm 6'1"...I like long walks on the beach...wait.

Windshields..that's it. I bought a '15 FLHXS this past spring. Got the 10in Windsplitter at purchase. It was ok. Didn't like the looks. I then purchased a 10" Dark tint Freedom Shields. Awesome product and great company to work with...but it was too tall. It worked WAY BETTER than the HD Windsplitter. Not sure the design but oh well. I got zero wind. But I like a little wind. Have it for sale now.

I then purchased the 9" Freedom Shields Dark tint it worked well. Loved it actually. But again, had no buffeting, and wanted more wind, so I kept it but purchased the 8" to allow more wind. This works for me! Yes I get more wind and the occasional buffet, yet only around 80mph on highway.

For me the 8" has stayed on. I rode 8k miles in 3 months with it. I love it. I keep the 9" for a "just in case" kinda thing for maybe cold weather riding.

In short, (no pun) the taller rider may want the 9 or 10". Bottom line, the Freedom Shields are incredibly awesome. Thick material and great quality. They seem to work better even at a lower design height, likely based on the flip recurve...whatever, it works. Go with them!

I should also say I have the fork lower deflectors mounted which seem to eliminate buffeting about 10mph more than without...so an 8" shield without for a 6'1" dude might give buffeting around 70mph, yet with the fork lowers, no buffetting until 80mph. Just a lil FYI.

6'3" LRS 8" Ultra Recurve. I think the stock looked better, but there's no buffeting at all with the LRS.
