was it drifting left or right when you let go of the handlebars?my 06 ultra pulled to the left since new.the dealership aligned mine 2 times.

 

NO, they put JB Weld on it so it no longer gets misaligned!!

 

New to Harley and new to this forum but not new to dealerships my guess is they took your bike to the back of the shop parked it did not touch it and billed Harley Davidson for one and half hrs
just a guess

 

i watched each time they aligned my ultra.

 

Did the alignment help with the drifting? Mine drifts left as did my '07 Heritage and does my buddies '04 Heritage.

You took the bike in because something you read said there may be a problem with 5th gear?.....Yeah,they acted all concerned...took the bike into the service area...did other **** for 90 minutes and gave your bike back....90 minutes is the MOCOs mandated time so maybe you will buy some of their other HD junk while you are waiting on NOTHING....JMPO...YMMV.......:&gt

 

I second choochoo's question. As an '07 RKC owner, what am I looking for to know if my motor/trans assembly is properly aligned?

 

Nope they adjusted the muffler bearing...remember the mechanic said it was out of alignment!!

 

As I haveposted for the ump-teenth time,my 07 sounds the same in all gears...I probably ride in 5th more than any other gear..never noticed any noise in the 12k miles I have ridden it....I did have some intermittant whine in first ...started noticing it at 8k or sobut it went away with the 10k service and a new set of Metzelers...:&gt...
