Default Headset plug 'plug at helmet' touchy???

Tried a search and did not really find anything.

We are new to the HD headsets.... installed both - the plug at my helmet seems pretty touchy??? I only push straight in - no twisting back and forth - seems to be IN - however while riding is sometimes backs out just enough for it to Stop working, reach up firmly push back in - works..

Is it ME or what???

any suggestions

Here I thought we were the only ones...
Ours is real touchy.

We have to check it each time we ride, get on and off the bike.

Welcome to the club. Both my wife and I have the same issue with our headsets. I even exchanged mine at the dealer for a new one and the new one is the same way. I just now get in the habit of pushing the cable in as hard as I can before putting my helmet on. Sometimes I can hear my wife but she can't hear me I instantly know we both need to nudge the wire to get it working right again.

Mine work fine but I do push them in very, very hard at the start of the day.
Same with passenger.

Mine are temperamental as well, to the point I was looking at other systems to bluetooth through my phone. My '16 RG Ultra doesn't have a CB unfortunately. I'm really interested in communicating with people I ride with.

For the little bit of trouble these HD sets give me I wouldn't trade them for Bluetooth is someone gave me a Bluetooth set. I have gone through Scala and Sena and it really sucks when the battery dies and you still have 3-4 more hours of riding left. Always having to worry about preserving the battery. Charging when you get it the hotel room. No thank you. Unless they come out with a set that can last 16 hrs I'm out.

I myself thought of just glueing the plug in.
