Just received my PV from FM. Plan to install tomorrow but after reading this thread, I have a few questions relative to the auto tune. When I run the auto tune and go to save the results, will it write to the FM map or will it write a new map so my original FM map is saved in say Slot 1? The new tune loads into Slot 2? Just a little confused. I certainly need to read more!!

You select the slot you want it to go in so don't select your fm slot

I just did this today. Follow the YouTube or whatever on auto tune instructions. Yes, when you're finished it will save a new map in a diff slot from the FM tune (still in slot 1). So save in slot 2 on the tuner. You can always have the original FM tune in slot 1.

Just playing on words here, but it will not save the results to a new slot on its own, You have to pick what you want it to do. When I first did this I watched the videos and made myself a cheat sheet to follow. Its easy once you figure it out but its also easy to write over your original FM map if you make the wrong choices along the way.

Default Quick Question....

Reading the PowerVision thread, the first step is to "Install WinPV on your computer, connect the PV to the computer via supplied USB cable, install the drivers pointing to either the CD or Power Vision hard-drive folder, and run the PV Update Client in your Start Menu." I would assume all the current drivers are installed since I just received from FM. Correct?

No, not necessarily, that is why they tell you to update it.

Mine needed updating.

Run the update client and see, never assume.
