Default Best product to clean/ restore black +chrome 88 engine

I just bought this 04 ultra. It's spent a lot of time outdoors, pretty weathered. What can I use on the engine to pretty it back up? It's generally grungy, with wax slopped on it. I don't think this motor has been cleaned up good for many years. Original bike spirits looks promising on the black but I ran out, and wanted to ask here first.

I use simple green extreme (not the usual green stuff) to clean my bikes when/if they get real dirty. The extreme stuff is approved for aircraft so it won't hurt aluminum. It is more expensive than the usual stuff...

Then polish the chrome with Mother's metal polish (no more wax) and hit the black finish with pig spit....

good luck...

if the engine is dirty it spray it down with wd40. yes the lube. and let it soak for 10 minutes or so.. depending on how hot a day it is. power wash with a good car wash then use s100 to bring back the black. yes the wd40 sounds weird but try it first I know most of you have a can lol.

for chrome the only thing I use and I swear by it is, Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. The stuff even takes melted boot of the pipes without any abrasives.

this is the best stuff i've found on the wrinkle black of the engine (way better than Pig Spit)...

I always use S100, even on my dirt bike. People assume I spend hours cleaning the mud off because it always looks so good.

Pig spit appears to be the same thing as original bike spirits. I'll do some before and after pics of the whole thing. HD of cincinnati is very close to me, they should have the engine brightener.
