Avon Heated Grips

Avon Heated Grips
Has anyone tried these?
I'm interested in getting heated grips on my 2015 RG.
I've had Avon (not heated kind) on my 2010SG and liked them a lot.
I like the looks and feel of Avon Grips, so I'm thinking about their heated grips rather than Harley ones.
I'd like to hear from guys who have them.
Thanks

I don't have avon heated grips, but I have had avon grips, and they wear out easy, and that would be my worry with heated ones. I would want something with renthal rubber.
I have RSD grips now, and they have already lasted longer than 2 sets of Avon.
The heated ones could be different though.

I have CVO handlebars on my RG and because CVO handlebars do not have a hole to accept the tab inside of the RG clamp (I ground off the tab inside of my clamp) , I'm certain they will work on my bike.
I Just wanted to hear how well they work from people who actually has AVON heated grips.

I have Avon heated grips on my 2012 Ultra. They work well and I like the look and feel of the grips.
I wired the grips themselves internally with the handle bar control wires but I found it necessary to run the wires for the controller/clutch lever clamp externally. I covered them in 1/8" black braided wire loom and tie wrapped it to the clutch cable.
The one complaint I have is the paint finish on the controller/clutch lever clamp is bad. The clear coat dulled up as you can see in the pictures. It use to **** me off, then I fell into acceptance, now I don't even notice.

I have them too. I am happy to have them but had to work thru a few issues. First the throttle grip hung up until I put some waterproof grease on it. The controller push button sometimes stuck down, but they worked good. Then it started blowing the fuse - not sure if it was my wiring or the controller but I wired in a new controller and it's working great, and the button doesn't stick. This is my second winter using them and my only complaint is the throttle side doesn't warm up as fast as the clutch side - maybe because it's not as thick so it can move easily? No experience with the HD grips but I read so many people had problems with them. Customer service from Avon was great - sent them an email, they had me troubleshoot and then they sent me a new controller. I have the chrome grips and controller and they held up well.
