Default What is different about a 2004-07 RK Custom?

I recently found a nice Mustang Solo seat for sale, but when I checked the seat number it said it only fits 2004-07 RK Custom. What is different about the Custom that this seat won't fit my 2000 RK Classic? It just seems odd, and I really want that seat.

The Mustang website is where I got my information. I thought the same as you. Just trying to be sure about this so I can forget about it if it doesn't fit.

I own a 2000 RKC and to my knowledge, seats fit from 97-07. Call Mustang. I am betting it is just a typo.

Possible difference in the nose of the seat in fitment for the Custom tank dash. I'm just looking a pictures on ebay and comparing to my RK which is not a Custom.

Maybe another way to answer this is to see if there is a difference between 03 RK Customs and 04 RK Customs. I've looked at pictures and can't really see any. I guess I will make a phone call to Mustang. Thanks for all the replies.

I made the mistake of buying a Corbin to fit a Road KIng Custom for my Regular King, it did not fit.
Called Corbin and they said the seats are different.

It fit a buddies 2004 Custom perfect

Just got off the phone with Mustang. The rep. said she could not tell me exactly why, but she assured me if their site says the seat only fits that specific model then it fits only that specific model. Sounds like Bigheadted is in agreement.

Its the dash panel. The Custom comes down further than the Classic/Standard so for some reason Mustang and others (JP Cycles) list it as not fitting.
I called LaPera before I ordered their from JP Cycles and they confirmed it would fit and it did.
Call Mustang to be sure, but I would suspect it would fit fine, maybe a little gap or overlap on the console.

Here's my pics comparing my LaPera to stock
