What took me so long?
#31
I bought my first Road King back in 98 and have loved the heel & toe ever since. The top of my foot used to get sore from my older bikes. I really prefer the heel for upshifts in a big way. One of the secrets for me was to adjust the height of them to be just far enough off the floor board to accomplish the up/down shifts. Makes it effortless really.
I don't care about the loss of floorboard space. I ride with the toes of my boots on the Kuryakin pegs (positioned low and just off the front of the boards) and my heel on the boards. Total ergo comfort me me anyway.
