I guess thats the way these things go - many others had no problem as well, not sure why someone would get errors and others not.

Are you running, or have you ran them?

no relation- the xieds are a resistor pack which would reduce the voltage produced from the o2 sensors, reaching the ecm.

this would be different than "no voltage" as if unplugged

I ran them for a while when I had a 2012 Road King - no issues.

Found this, however: http://www.nightrider.com/parts/131_151_explained.htm

I am glad you had no issues, but even Nightrider acknowledges the issue.

I'm not sure I'd call it an "issue", it gives a reason for the codes.

Heck, I might have had it come up, I dont remember, I could be wrong, but I dont think it lights up the CEL, but if you check your historical codes you might see these errors, for which there is a logical explanation.

Nope. No codes being thrown here. Just reduced fuel mileage as I would expect. And not that bad at that. The reason I was even considering just unplugging them was looking at the plugs they are still rather white. I'm assuming that's because the Harley Stage 1 is still rather lean and the XIED's just isn't enough to overcome that really lean condition.

I did try a fuel controller from Fuelmoto. Power Commander 3. But it didn't help at all. In fact made starting more difficult. Talked to the techs at Fuelmoto and they said that was caused by the parasite affect of the controller. The bike would crank and crank and crank before starting. Even if I hit the start button as soon as I turned the ignition switch on.

So they even said go with XIED's because of that. I was hoping with unplugged O2 sensors the ECM would throw more fuel than with XIED's. Looks like I can't get there from here though. In the mean time I'm starting to look at a new bike. Poor excuse to look but the wife bought it.

I too bought the XIEDS (have them in the garage) and will put them on in a couple days. I anticipate the bike registering/logging a code (but not illuminating the CEL) and I'm okay with that.

and by reduced fuel mileage... based on your own riding behavior... 5 mile reduction?

I never saw a discernable reduction in gas mileage.
