After Market Wheels- Rotor Trueness
#21
I performed that service when I changed the pads and rotors 3000 miles ago.
Fluid wasn't to bad. I'm on top of the maintenance side of things, seeing that is my living.
Good point though and thanks for bringing it up.

Well took it for a test ride and no improvement what so ever. Pulsation in front end as well as brake lever. Looks like it's rotor replacement time. I'm pissed because I just spent money on rotors a little over 3000 miles ago. Of coarse I've learn I purchased 2 pieces of **** from Harley. I will probably rebuild the calipers while I have it apart. Thanks for all the support and comments. It's much appreciated.

I'm wondering what the difference is between two piece, and floating rotors, and which is more durable.
Hopefully others will chime in.
I only want to buy these one more time, seeing I screwed up the first time purchasing HD's which are probably made in China.

With rotors it is strange. I have been running the same rotors (HogPro 2 piece rotors non floating) for 35k miles. I have had no issues with pulsation or warpage. I have been through several sets of brake pads and only clean the brake pistons when changing p[ads. I never clean off my rotors. I am a front brake user. I only use rears in an emergency situation. My rear pads are still the stock pads with lots of pad left on them.
For the guys have experienced a lot of warping issues I always sell them the Galfer Wave rotors. I am yet to have anyone have an issue with these.

Just want to mention what a great guy and purchase experience I had with Hogpro.
He answered all of my questions (which was a million of them) on the phone, and went out of his way to make sure I had all I needed to make a sound decision on my purchase.
He was willing to do what it takes to make me a satisfied customer.
Great customer service, for sure!

Rick, thanks for your business. I sent you new rotor bolts and loc tite as well for the install. Torque specs are on the invoice as well but torque front rotor bolts to 16-18 ft lbs use blue loc tite.
We have one set of these rotors left in stock and if they are still here at the holidays I'm putting them on my bike.
