Pioneer ts-d6902r (hpf or full pass)
Hey folks I'm sure that it's several threads on here about these 6x9's. I had a set inside of my bags and some JL c-2's in the lids being powered by a JL xd600/6v2 and they sounded crappy along with the c2's. Had the amp set to hp and tried the hertz/freq **** on several different settings and gain around 11 o'clock . I could never get them to sound good at all. Read somewhere that the pioneers might perform better with more than the 80 rms the JL amp was giving them so I purchased a s.s pn4.1000 which is rated @ 150x4 @ 4 ohms and 250x4 @ 2 ohms. Installed it and hooked up the pioneers, set the gain to about 10-11 o'clock hp, and several different hertz/freq positions and still couldn't find all of this bass that everyone has been talking about. I then switched the crossover to full pass and I found some bass. Just wondering are you guys getting all of your bass with the crossover set to high pass or do you have it set at full pass? I have my JL amp pushing my front stage and the s.s. For the bags, my head unit is the Sony mex-m70bt.
