Oil temp gauge

RE: Oil temp gauge
Arlen Ness makes one which mounts on the rocker box. It is a very nice unit top quality but expensive. They sell every place (Dennis Kirk) and are easy to install. Since it does not mount in the fairing you can keep your air temp gauge.
Though I will say that I just mounted the Harley gauge in my fairing and it is slick and much more useful than the air temp. Plus I was able to read temp off the oil fllter housing saving me a ton of work fishing the wire.

RE: Oil temp gauge
Do you really need the air temp gauge? I mean really it is about as useful as the rock in predicting the weather (you all know what I am talking about-rock is wet means it is raining, rock is white it means it is snowing) that sort of thing. I just bought the oil temp rather know the temp of my oil then the temp of the air outside my fiaring (which is usually about 10-15 degrees off anyway.
Just my $.02
