Default Tick GONE!!! ROCKOUT Rocker Shaft Inserts!!!!!!

I have a 2012 Ultra Limited, my buddy has a 2013. We each have about 30k miles now, but have been chasing the illusive top end tick since it arrived on both of our bikes at about 10K miles. We’ve done what many have tried… Comp Cam 850-1 lifters, SE tapered adjustable push rods set to 3 ½ turns, Redline 20/60 oil (actually the oil helped a bit) and still the annoying tick. Mine had two bad spots at 1,800 and 2,600 rpm. Has driven us nuts for 3 years. The ROCKOUT Rocker Shaft Inserts went in both our bikes today and they are now both quiet as a mouse!! No tick what so ever, and I’m running Woods 222 cams to boot. The 1,800 and 2,600 rpm rattle/tick is completely gone!!!!!! This is the best $15 I have spent - hands down. Thanks BikerScum, these are the ****.

You bet. It's awesome. That sound that we all pretend isn't there.... and pretend doesn't bother us.... and convince ourselves that it's a pushrod VTwin motor and "they just do that".... is gone - all gone. It was part of the reason I spent $1K on my Biketronics speakers and Amp. Not that I regret that purchase at all, I just needed more volume to drowned out the tick!! So nice now.... sounds the way a bike should sound. My friend and I are so pumped after doing ours. Can't say enough.....

WOW!

With all this positive feedback i cant wait to install the rocker lockers in my bike with a TC motor.

The powers to be @ HD should be ashamed of themselves not catching onto this & correcting mfg tolerance & or installing shouldered bolts when mfg new TC motors .

And then install rocker locker type inserts in the fld when people bring their TC bikes complaining about valvetrain noise to correct it after all the yrs the TC motors have been on the market with this issues.

But then HD would have lost big bucks on all the cams /lifters /cams etc they would not have sold along with loosing all the labor to install them along with retaining employment of many hd techs that may have been out their jobs too,who knows.

Maybe sometimes HD is smarter then we think they are!/LOL!!

I'm dforeid's buddy that also got the Rocker Lockers installed today. My valve train noise is also completely gone, no tick at any RPM. This is going to spread like wild fire when more people find out about this. The dealers won't be able hide the truth about the sloppy twin cam valve train tolerances any more.

Bikerscum your the man .

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback. It took me a looooong time to find the source of the problem, it really makes me happy to have helped so many out.

Just one small correction... they're ROCKOUTS, not rocker lockers. I'm partial to the name

Got mine in the mail today but don't know when I'll drop them in. I don't notice a ton of noise except right at 2,000rpm when cold and sure I'll be able to tell a difference with the reviews everyone is putting up.

You guys are lucky, I put the rocker lockers in mine and was hoping for this miracle, but they didn't do any thing for my ticking. Maybe I put them in backwards or something, just kidding ,I am running 259 cams with adjustables, and SE lifters, wish I could get rid of the noise. I am glad they worked for you!!

Just to be clear... yours were rocker locker brand and not ROCKOUTS?

Thanks.
