Just a tip to pass on.For those who don't have the compressed air to blow out the rocker retaining plate bolt holes or do not want the oil blown all over the place,I use Q-Tip cotton swabs to clean the oil out of the holes.No oil left in the holes or on the threads after cleaning.

 

We did the same thing. Better than risking oil spraying out.

I do like the qtip tip... but what are you "risking" with a little oil blowing out?

 

Personally, I'm a little **** about stuff, so liked the swab up method. That's just me...

Ya'll got me freaked out by this hydrolock convo... (and I get it and what can happen), that I'm going to swab the damn holes with a qtip, give each hole a quick shot of brake cleaner, swap the hole again, and then used compressed air.

Anyways, any of you replace the filter element and if so... did you buy the kit which includes the gaskets and the breather valve or just the filter elements while in there to do the ROCKOUT installation?

I got mthe ROCKOUT kit from amazon, just waiting for the gaskets and bolts from boardtracker AND now I think I should replace the filter elements by buying the "KIT"

 

And I truly appreciate it. You guys have been awesome, I'm sweating whether or not my current shipment is going to get to amazon before they run out again.
