Kept my 2013 an extra year waiting. I really wanted the wet head and was not going to trade unless I got it. Not as flashy as the CVO but an outstanding ride so far.
Riding is my one vise so if a little cash gets spend it is still not bad compared to others vises.

Your statement is so true. Anyone that thinks you can ride these touring bikes on the cheap has figured out something that I haven't.

Lol I'm not ready to Pay $40K for Prettier! That's a lot of cash for two wheels!

I put way to many miles on my bikes to mess with a CVO but if I had to I would have.
3500 miles on the new RGU now and very happy with it. The high out putt 103 is nothing to be ashamed of on the road. I have put many miles on 103's and the high out put does deliver on the road.
The CVO Blue is sharp much better than a normal Blue one.
What's riding a lot of miles have to do with your choice of not messing with a CVO ? I bought mine June 25th, 2015 and have 9200 miles on it already. Best bike out of the 10 previous Harley's I've owned and it's still and will remain bone stock. My last two Road Kings I easily spent way over 10K in upgrades and getting them where they were right for me for long distance touring so the CVO seemed like a good value to me. I spent way less than 40K on mine.

Yes big bucks,But add it ALL up.A new special is.....? A CVO you already know is.
Take your New Rushmore RG and
Start with Engine,then chrome,tunes,heated seats,grips,adjustable pass.footboards alone easy $700,cruise control,rims,tires,what else??
How much is a CUSTOM PAINT JOB? 1 More item:Labor
Now resell your Special for a lot less than the CVO.The numbers might be closer than ya think.People with the cake will go turn-key....DONE
