I got the tank, seat, one rocker cover off today while I wait for the Rockouts and had a question. Do I need the torque wrench adapter or can I get away with crowfoot wrenches I have to torque the bolts down?

I guess in theory they can work, but I'm not sure you can get enough "swing" with a crow's foot... the regular torque adapters are 12 point. In either case make sure you use the adapter 90 degrees to the torque wrench.... _| not _ _

I just ordered a $18 socket extension for a $15 fix. Sigh. I think you should make these also. Just kidding. I half thought about welding a socket onto the end of a box end wrench.

I have the inserts installed. One pushed in by hand, no wrenches needed. That should make a difference for sure. I'm just waiting for my torque extension to be delivered today. While I wait, does anyone have the torque specs for the a 2012 Ultra? I need the torque specs for using an extension on the rocker assembly, breather, and rocker cover. Thanks in advance.

I don't have the specs for a 2012 handy, but THERE IS NO SPEC FOR USING AN EXTENSION. Use the torque adapter at a 90 degree angle to the torque wrench, NOT inline with it. When used at 90 degrees there is no torque multiplication, just use the spec from Harley. If you don't understand this please email me at the address on my website.

Thanks for trying my kit.

I'm just waiting on my torque extension to be delivered. It was supposed to arrive today by Amazon Prime through the post office but it didn't come. Hopefully tomorrow. I got the front cylinder done with my torque wrench but need the extension for the rear cylinder.

So, why waiting for my torque adapter to be delivered, I went into my toolbox and found that an offset 7/16" x 1/2" wrench worked as an extension. I put my 3/8" torque wrench onto the 7/16" end and it worked pretty good. I saved a few bucks and cancelled the order since it was going to be delivered late.

Here are some short videos of the Rockouts. It seemed to help out a bit.
