This is me as well. Probably best for me to keep the tank in my neighbor's garage

Thoughts anyone ?

Yep. One I did yesterday had a small tank lift. Super easy. If u use a box wrench and have any mechanical skills no worries .
Probably more risk in taking tank off. Lol

You might have seen reference to optionally replacing breathers, best place to get both is probably your local dealer.

Your right, not your's. I'm sending you a PM

So, bought these on Amazon based on all the positive things I've read here on the forum. Before the install I paid particular attention to the ticking noises between 2000-2500rpm (and others in general).

Last year I installed the woods triple deuces. Very happy with the low end torque improvement but I immediately noticed the extra "noise" but accepted the trade off.

Thought that maybe these would help and for the price what the heck.

Install was easy enough per the instructions. Did it together with a spring cleaning, three hole oil change and new plugs.

Afterwards went out for a couple hours ride and I gotta say...........no real real difference in the noise. I hear pretty much all the same noises as before.

Not disappointed. It is what it is. Maybe with the stock cams I would have had a different results but is all good.

I did see some some wear marks on the rocker support bolts but not really like those I've seen posted here.

The basic principle makes sense I don't see any reason not to try these if you think they might help. They just didn't do much for me with my set-up.

Give-em a try. It's just money and a chance to play in the garage.

Thank you very much for trying my kit, sorry to hear they didn't solve your ticking issues. Sometimes the noise can be coming from the lifters, valves closing on their seats, etc., I hope you can track down the source.

I'm basically going through the the same thing as BillinSC. I'm wondering if adding another set to the left side would help any.

Unfortunately, adding inserts to the other end of the shafts won't do any good.... the support plate bolts on that end don't go through the shafts.

John @ Rockout.

Sorry bro, I found the answer. I initially googled "dog bone" wrench and came up with the wrong kind. I read more of this thread and from a later post by John I got onto the correct tool.

"Sorted" .
