Using stock pads on new ss polished rotors??

I always kind of looked at it like a car, you really want the new surfaces to seat together. I don't do brakes on my car without turning the rotors and vice versa. When I replaced my rotors, I put on new pads at the same time. They're not expensive and just cheap insurance. At least that's the theory I rolled with. Good luck.

Put a new tire and wheel on at Bikes Blues and BBQ last year. Was going to put on new pads with those nice new shiny rotors. the guy said you have over half left, no need.
but i will say this... the first time you take it out for a ride, it will take a few stops for those pads to seat real well. When I left the parking lot and got to the highway, i thought i was being real careful. still spooked me a little as to how little brakes i had, especially on the front. by the time i got back to the motel to get the wife (i was first in line that morning to get my tire/wheel put on), they were back to normal.
