Default RCX 4.5 vs V&H OS 450

Has anyone heard both the RCX 4.5 and the V&H OS 450 slip ons?

I'm starting to miss the deep sound i had with the Hi-Outputs i sold for the MGS slip ons. With no engine mods on my 103 i was thinking of going with the 450's, but i thought i would look into the RCX 4.5's as well. I'm running Dresser Duals for headers.

I have the dresser duals and V&H OS 450's and love the sound. Had 4" RCX prior to the OS. The sound is deep and I love it. Only loud when you really want it to be. Perfect cruising volume. I liked my RCX while I had them, and would assume their new 4.5's are good as well. But I really like my V&H's.

About how loud are they with the dresser duals? I like how loud my MGS are, just missing the deep sound.

Well, i ended up ordering the 450's after a few PM's and research. Going to try them out and unwrap the baffle if need be.

Maybe if you decide to unwrap the baffles. You can take a video of the process from start to finish.

Might be hard to film with my phone, but i might be able to take pictures. Debating on just starting off with them unwrapped.

I'm very curious about the rcx 4.5 as well. Having the V&H 450's I noticed some low end torque loss - loved the sound/look though (Also confirmed with Fuel motor).

The rcx 4.5 are supposed to have different baffling size that claim to preserve the torque. So presumably you can have the size, look, and sound without sacrificing torque.

Looking for first hand experience though before I buy.

Wow, gotta love Fuel Moto. I ordered the 450's yesterday and they already showed up. They will be going on tomorrow while the GF is at work lol.

Default 450's V&H

Can't comment on the RCX's but I love the sound of my 450's. The only problem I've had has been the rubber grommet hook up under the right side saddlebag as it has popped out of it slot twice in the last 13,000 kilos.

Happened to mine as well I use some black zip ties on the rubber grommet. Zip tie through rubber and where bar slips through and around the bracket they have never moved since.
