Default Just installed my CFR's

After 4 long months of waiting, on Monday I finally got my chrome double fluted CFR's. The irony is, last Friday I had surgery on my left hand so I currently have 22 stitches. But determined as I am, I was able to slowly install the mufflers.

Now, I'm not disappointed but damn, people make them sound like, they're gonna burst your ear drums. So many out here

To me, the mufflers alone, really sounds like a step above my old Rinehart mufflers. Yeah they sound good but I was expecting a bit more. So, I will have to invest in the V&H power dual headers that I was thinking of.

Comparing them to stock mufflers, there's a significant difference but to Rinehart or probably any other muffler, its not that big of a difference. Now I'll be honest, since my hand is busted up, I was not able to ride the bike. I listened to it in my garage. But anyway, here's a pic of them installed.

Newly installed CFR mufflers.

Sweet. I have toyed with the idea of going with them when mine need replaced. (or if I can sneek them in under the wifes nose. Not an easy task but can be done)

Wont be easy because finding them is a task. I called every distributor around and even tried CFR directly. Gale had me on the waiting list and told me that it was 12 weeks. I had previously placed an order at a local shop. The Chrome Double Fluted are just being made now. So, maybe you'll find them in less than 4 months. My shop had 2 sets. I got there as they were opening to grab one set. They told me that a dude was driving in 3 hours away for the other set.

It's getting crazy out here...

Makes you wonder if these supply issues are intentional

I have been waiting for a set for a while and currently on the waiting list with one of the HD Forum sponsors.
Looking for either the single or double fluted set.

But back to the OP...
Those look great and cannot wait to read about your impressions when you replace the header.
That will really wake them up - and your neighbors.

Yes, because companies make money by not selling products.

Op, I see you wanted a little more sound out of CFRS have you considered the V&H True Duals? you will get more sound than the PD.

I had my CFRS matched up with a set of Cobra Power Ports then changed to the Power Duals, the Power Duals differently calmed the CFRS down in sound.

If you like I have a video on my profile, with CFRS and the Power Ports.

Nothing better than waking up and reading smart *** comments. I love it.

The delay was due to a chroming issue. And a huge demand.

Personally, I think CFR is a small shop and they're overwhelmed with the huge demand. They're made in Arizona and then chromed in California and then shipped to distributors.

Man, my neighbors (especially the old couple who stares out their window at everybody) are gonna hate me, even more.
