The bike is looking good.

I just purchased a new Road Glide Ultra and a going a more blended look with my two favorites, Black and Chrome. I started with something I all was wanted to do with my last bike and that was a chrome front end.

But, in this case I went with Chrome Lower and black cow bells. In the picture below the fairing skirt is chrome, This has been replaced with a black skirt. Just haven't taken any pictures to show the difference.

Love that color combo. Guy in my club is in the process of doing the exact same thing to his SGS.

I figured that if they did get to looking ratty, I could just easily touch them up. but never had to.

but the big difference here would be that mine were 'flat', and the op's are high gloss.

Looks good. My first two bikes, a 2010 Fatbob and a 2012 Fatboy Lo, I did a lot of blacking out. I think with the road glide special I'm just going to leave all the stock chrome. All new parts will be black though.

Default Blacked out

2013 Street Glide..
Blacked out most everything so far. Still have a few things to do to get rid of the chrome. But I like the contrast with the denim black and the gloss black.
Sorry for the distractions on the bike..
Sparky.

what... we talking blacked out motorcycles here.

04' road king custom with most of the bike blacked out, lots of Roland sands designs black ops parts, lots of powder coating in harley wrinkle finish to contrast the glass black.

quick update.... Some of the gloss, about an inch past the heat shield on the left side, started to flatten out. I figured this would happen after seeing a few others who had done the same thing. Probably going to end up ceramic coating them.... or doing nothing because I'll be getting stretched bags and a side dump this winter. Probably shouldn't throw a bunch of money at this set up seeing as I don't plan on keeping it.
