If my new bike runs lean like everybody says they do, how come my built motors from my "just traded in Road King" got fantastic mileage while making 40 more hp? My stock 103 gets poor mpg's but is lean? I started another thread in the Rushmore column and still can't see how this can be. None of my previous tunes and / or motor combo's can come close to the smoothness of this new bike around town, (highway riding exact same).
Thanks!

You will feel the biggest bang for the buck with the FP3. If I were you I would start with just the tuner and see how it runs. That's the great part of the FP3 is you can swap parts as your budget allows! Stock bikes are scary lean. It will feel like a different bike, trust me!

I agree with you. I was just telling him what my experience has been and what I've read and been told by my local HD shop. You can do whatever you want to the exhaust, if you keep the air cleaner stock, tuning isn't "required". Now, ofcourse you can make it better if you change the air cleaner and get a custom tune. I will do that eventually as I plan to change my a/c and go to a side dump exhaust in front of the bags.

I know we are talking about performance here, but I found the V&H header on my 2011 was cooler than my catless stock header on my 09. Added bonus.

I have the Fuel moto 2-1-2 head pipe 4" rhineharts fuel moto backing plate for the air cleaner with the stock cover and a dynojet Power Vision tuner. Runs flawlessly

If you keep the stock air filter housing you can us a K&N replacement air filter in it.
K&N part # HD-1614 will fit, it will flow more air then the stock HD filter also. You may
also want to look into Nightriders FL-ViED-10 to richen up your air fuel ratio.

I had the FL-Vied's on mine too for a bit. They work as advertised. But the FP3 is hands down much better...worth the cost..

Noticeable power increase?

Just got a return email from Fuel Moto, And they recommended your exact setup. Which is all fine, But I was leaning towards the V&H FP3 tuner. I am waiting a reply from them on why they say PV instead of FP3.
