Default K&N filter

Im looking at the K&N replacement filter to replace the stock filter. Using this filter in the stock air box is there a need to remap the ecm?
I have the power vision with maps for using the stock filter and air box. Will running a few A/T runs be good or will I have to use a stage 1 A/C power vision map?

the K&N on it's own is unlikely to greatly affect air flow into the motor. doubt you'd have tuning concerns post-swap

the popular hi flow air cleaners aside from usually a different filter media also incorporate air horns on the base plate which order and direct the more air at a higher velocity into the throttle body.
also 360º air intake is possible.

you won;t have these- just better filtering

Try it and see. If it runs lean you can switch back to the other filter if necessary until you load a new map. My guess is it will be fine.

No need to remap if you're just replacing the element.

I have put a k&n filter in the stock air filter housing on multiple bikes and never had any issues. You should be fine.

For what it's worth, I put the K&N stock filter replacement in my '14 Limited just before having it dyno tuned. The tuner advised me to replace it with an actual Stage 1 aircleaner because the Stage 1 open filter does flow more air. No he wasn't just trying to sell me one because he really didn't care if I bought it from him or supplied it to him prior to tuning. My point being the replacement filter will probably not need any adjustment to you ECM map.

I also have the K&N stock replacement.
In short, performance is not it's thing.
It probably flows the same as the paper element but allows for better filtering and the recharge capability thing etc.

I have a PV and did not remap.

I would say to just put it in and go
