Doing cams now and FM 107 later. What cams to choose?
I have a 2015 SGS that I plan on eventually adding a fuel Moto 107 kit and ported head to, but for now just gonna do cams. I thought I was set on a set of Woods 777, but then I noticed the 888 cams. I will call FM, but they are closed till Monday. Until then, any real world experience with the 888?

If your doing the work yourself I'm not sure how your saving money by doing it all at once??? I do my own work and would do cams now if that's all you can afford. No experience with the 888 but I loved the 777 I had in my 106 kit. Ran fantastic with good low end and took off like a rocket at 3k. Good luck on build.

You're appearing to be fragmented, which does set you up for unsolicited advise.
I have no real world experience with the 888's, but I do the 222's if you're interested, which are in my bike now.
There is no one that can help you with "choice" until you've defined where you want your power to be made, and what you're looking for. I haven't read up on the 888's but I do know that the 777's are at their best with higher compression than stock levels give you, and are that which I've chosen for my own FM 107 Kit. So, you can see too, that there are other factors that will influence how your cam choice will perform now as opposed to how those same cams WOULD perform when you do your 107 Kit. I start my build in 1-2 weeks, and I'll have done cams twice when it's all said and done by virtue of the fact that TW-222's perform better at stock compression levels than the 777's would have prior to building my motor up to a 107. That is of course, based on the low end torque that I wanted when I installed them two years ago.
No unsolicited advise from me on how you spend your money or your time, but hopefully a little constructive input. Good luck.

I have a 15 RGS and have been looking at cams also. I don't have any experience with the 777's but I do know they work well with the stock 103 and even better with the 107 kit. They also have a new 999-6a cam which Jamie has been recommending alot. It also works well with the stock 103 or the 107 upgrade. I am leaning towards just going with the 777's .
