Default Trading my 14 SGS for an 09 Road King

I bought a sweet Street Glide Special in December 2014, but after nine months and 13,500 miles I have decided that the fairing ain't for me. I like the looks of the Road King Classic, and I have my eye on a 09. Anyone else have buyers remorse?

Nice bike Jaye H. I like my Glide, but I just don't feel like it is the bike for me. The fairing blocks too much wind for me. I love the ride, the radio is nice, the GPS is great, but I just can't get over missing the wind. Enjoy your new scoot.

The Street Glide Special is a sweet ride.If I was ever going to get rid of my RK,that would be the one.But my RK is everything I need at the moment and I left a Ultra for it.Again there is a reason they call it the King.

Road my RKC from 2001 until 2013 and loved it, still have it (my son rides it) and still love it bUt since I got my RGU I seldom ride the RKC. Maybe some around town, but for road trips there is no comparison. Last week we did 1,200 mile with another couple. They wanted to stay below 70 on their RKC when we can cruise 80+ very comfortably on the RGU. And when we got caught in the rain for three hours they said they could not see a thing. We were mostly dry.

Each to his own though!

Thanks Dharn55, I will keep that in mind.
vizcarmb - I don't want another new bike, and they don't make the RK Classic anymore, all hard bags, no leather. Not to mention, I do not like the hydraulic clutch.

You can find he leather bags on eBay and elsewhere and put them on a new Road King. heck Harley still sells them in the P&A catalog. I do love the way they look.
