Trading my 14 SGS for an 09 Road King
#31
And there is the issue of the faulty compensator pulleys on the 96 cu on engines. I have a 2010 SG with the 96 and have had to replace the compensator pulley twice in recent times. Find out if the bike has the upgraded Screamin' Eagle or Baker upgrade. The upgrade also requires replacing the stator rotor. Grrr
It's a basic engineering flaw by HD, so just figure you'll have to deal with it, as most fail at 20,000 or so miles.
I've replaced the comp pulley twice on my SG (35,000 mi), and will buy the Baker next time bcs I refuse to spend the money at HD. There should have been a recall.....or at least discounted parts.
