Default Fuel Moto 2-1-2 head pipe install....help?!

So my head pipe finally came in. Everything went butter smooth during the install but I have a bad exhaust leak right at the cross over crushed pipe.

Am I supposed to use something there ? A gasket of some sort?

No gasket, I have the same header. Make sure you have the clamp torqued down.

A little after 11 minutes into the video he address the cross over pipe. There is a gasket and use permatex ultra copper to prevent exhaust leaks.

There is a gasket in the stock crossover pipe that you have to be careful with. Fuel Moto has a video on You Tube that shows how install their pipe and talks about the gasket.

Yep right answer is above, You can put ultra copper sealant on the gasket.

Well. I watched the video. Thank you for that !

It seems I don't have a gasket there ...??? It's a used bike and seems to be full of surprises. This is just one more. Quick trip to tidewater tomorrow and I should be alright.

Thanks guys!

so I installled the new gasket, and was a lot easier thsan I hoped thanks for a couple threads on the forums....went out and got myself a pipe expander, worked like a charm. Exhaust is nice and tight, and the sounds is ....louder, but i dont know if i like it, seems to sound more like a quad now ?

anyhow, my question is is to those that have the 2-1-2 pipe......do you feel like the handle bars have more vibration in them since the install?? Call me crazy, but thats the first thing I noticed....i have no idea why.....does this make any sense ?

No vibe increase here. Make sure the mount points are tight. The 2 times my hanger bracket broke on my v&h on my last bike it vibrated. I will never consider power duels again. I am happy with the fuel moto header.
