Change the color and your bike will be slower

 

I'm not a big fan of silver because as a painter, I rarely see silver that is not tiger stripped, which drives me crazy. As has been stated, any black is gonna be harder to maintain. IF I go to the effort of painting something I like to make it custom so it stands out from everyone else's bike. If you are considering paying to have it painted, maybe consider a little more to make it all your own.

Of course if you have something custom done it might be a little more work to keep it up, but then again you'll WANT to keep it looking nice, instead of it being a chore to keep clean, if that makes sense.

 

If you don't look at it in the bright sun and take a step back, you won't notice the swirls as much.
