Default Highway peg advice

I'm in the market for highway pegs and I wanted to know some of the pros and cons of the different models. Which would you recommend or which ones not to get. Thanks.

if you have fairing lowers, you'll need 'double jointed' to get out and around.

other than that the mounts and pegs are usually sold separate

if you have pass pegs on your bike, get pegs that match.

if you don;t have lowers, you may want to mount them inboard so you have clearance lane splitting or in the garage.

mounting- cover the crash bars with tape and have someone help you position them where they work best before cranking them down.

check the forum classifieds for deals

Yes, unless you are at a dealer where they will let you trial mount them on your bike to see how they fit, get the mounts with the most adjustability.

10-4 0n adjustable. HD has the 360's and Kury have about the same. Make sure they are where you want them before cranking down so as not to mar the finish of your engine guard.

I got the standard rubber ones with chrome cap, I think they are also the cheapest. I wanted plenty of rubber for grip so my feet won't ever slip off. Also sometimes I like to put the back of my ankle on them to rest my feet completely and the rubber helps my jeans from slipping around.

I bought mine for function rather than bling

I bought the basic, $30 highway pegs that mount to the eng guard. I found a set of pegs on CL for almost nothing and now have a nice looking highway peg set up for less than 40$. I just couldn't justify 100+ dollars for highway pegs. I would rather spend that money elsewhere on the bike.

I had the 360's on my last bike and eventually one of them broke. This time I went with the "short angled" and I like them a lot with mini-boards.
