Here is the clamp you need, it has 3 allen screws to lock the bars in place once positioned and its a one piece billet, far better than the crap 2 piece clamp that allowed the bars to slip in the first place.

Da winnah!!!

Only a fool would attach ratchet straps to the ends of the handlebars. That's a sure-fire way to either bend or pull the bars out of position. Morons (and tow drivers) might do this, but surely not people of average intelligence.
I've hauled all kinds of motorcycles for over 45 years and ALWAYS tie to the bars. Never had a bent bar or any other issue - not ever.
One must tie to the lowest bend in the bars where it is closest to the handlebar clamp. Soft ties work well here doubled up and attached to ratchet straps to compress the forks tight enough to keep the bike from coming loose. (No, it won't "blow" the fork seals.)

That Yaffe handle bar clamp will do zero for anyone brain-dead enough to strap to the ends of the bars, it just isn't necessary.

I complained to the AMA. They started a claim with Road America, and the towing service reimbursed me for the repair. My indy charged 2hrs, $136. I had it repaired, but was pleasantly surprised to be reimbursed.
The tow company told me that style of strap that goes on the grips, was being recalled. No surprise.
