Autotune my flhxs beneficial? (Fp3)
So this is my second V&H FuelPak that I've had on my bikes an I've never bothered to run the autotune feature. I am curious to know if those of you that have ran it are satisfied with the results over the provided maps from V&H. I have the true dual headers with the twin slash slip-ons.
There are definitively some areas that feel "harder" when accelerating fast through 3k-3500rpms, more vibs through the floorboards - hoping some of you can provide insight is to whether or not the auto tune helped smoothed this issue out. Thanks

According to their website and you are running their components they have Dyno tuned the setup and their standard map should be right on. I have a mix of items on mine and I went with a base tune that V&H recommended and then auto tuned for 600 miles. The bike runs great. In your case you could try Auto tune an see if it helps. You can always go back to the V&H map with the click of a finger.

Not familiar with the V & H tuner, but if it has an "auto tune" feature it can be used to re-write the MAP based on your riding style, exact engine configuration, fuel quality your bike normally gets, part of the Country you live it (normal DA range) etc, and will be closer than a generic MAP supplied with the tuner.
I had the PV tuner on my last bike, 2012 Ultra Limited, and it was supplied from Fuel Moto with a MAP that was very close, no complaints. Even so, I spent some time using the auto tune feature to data-log that tune, and was able to really clean things up in the "normal" range I rode the bike in based on my riding style. Fuel economy took a nice jump after all the tuning was done, so it was well worth the effort......Cliff
