RE: Had the bike dynoed. A couple of Questions.
Called the dealer where the bike was originally purchased and theservice guy verified that the kit was installed. Now the question is am I getting all I can out of my current set up. The bike runs good although sheneeds to be revved a bit more than I thought a 1550 cc engine should need. Guessing its cam dependant. Icant do just above idle cruising likesome other bikes and I have no idea what revs I'm turning without a tach but my ear is telling me that my sweet spot for cruising is probably about3K-3.5K. It's more fun north of 3K anyway. I think I'm going to leave well enough alone for now. SOTP is suggesting more than that one dynorun is indicating.

16 anything is very lean. You really want to be in the low to mid 13 's to make a cooler running engine. I have made those kind of numbers on a stock carb dyna 88" with air kit, khrome werks slipon's and carb jetted. try a different shopto set up your ride. It would be nice to know what was in it . Find who the last owner was and see if he or she has the receipts for the work. The dealer will probly tell you.

The more I look at the dyno sheet the 16:1 looks to bean anomaly unless bikes run leaner when cold. The other two runs were closer to 14:1 which while notideal shouldn't cause damage. Like I said the bike runs good. I have to assume thata condition so lean as to cause damage would make the bike actstrangely. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be getting into all the performance improvement expenses soon but right now my wife has her eyes on wood flooring. OUCH!
