Anything else to stabilize handling?
Hi All,
Aside from the Ohlins cartridges up front and the JRI rear shocks I've already installed, is there is anything else out there that is proven to increase handling and stability on a 2012 Road King?
Specifically I'm finding a wobble at high speeds (when on a closed course.......obviously) and also some minor wobble in a high speed sweeper. I have the factory WWW tires with about 5k miles on them.
Any tips, tricks or advice?
Thanks!
J.

JRI shocks are the US made equivalent to the #3 Ohlins (one below the top of the line remote reservoir). The head bearings (last I checked) were spot on but I'll put it on the jack and check again. Tires could be the problem too since the bike has always done it regardless of what I change with the suspension. Thats really the only constant.

Ok, I don't know then. Those are the places I would look. The final place would be the swing arm bushings. I know my bike every wobble has been resolved with new tires every time it started. The Ohlins shocks seem to stop the sway when it wants to start. That being said my bike is on the old frame.

Surprised no one mentioned stabilizing links. Just bought an 11 RKC, waiting for delivery. Have read a lot and many say stabilizer links firm the bike up nicely.
Have also read many 09-13 and even some 14-15 seem to have a wobble at higher speed sweeps.
On another forum, a guy sells swing arm bushings that have a type of preload. Maybe worth researching also.
