They are the loudest pipes I've ever heard. I love loud Harley's but these are almost too loud for me. I just like the classic look they give the bike. You will get alot of compliments with them, both good and bad.
You will certainly get a lot of comments, but if it's that loud from knowledgable buliders they will all be bad. That & the fact that any bike with a decent exhaust system will walk away from you easily..........

They may 'walk away from you easily', but they will still here me when they go to sleep at night.

Papa Travis if they dont have baffles is it possible that they have reversion cones up at the heads? Because that is what the problem is typically with open pipes. But hey I'm up fer learning sumthin new everyday if they are designed without them.

Doesn't matter, reversion cones are basically useless.

Don't know what a reversion cone is. I have the stock head pipes on, for now, and the slip ons, which go staright through from front to back. Nothing in the drag bars at all, except air. I plan to add a true dual system later on, but have heard that the stock y pipe is actually a better set up. I would be switching to the duals just for looks. As I did with the sampson drag fishtails. Right now, being my first Harley, I concentate on the look I hope to acheive. I am sure at some point, performance will win out, but I gotta make my bike what I see in my head first. just my $0.02!
