First trip this summer was my wife's first "long" trip on the bike. We started just outside of NYC and headed up to the northern part of Lake Champlain at the NY/VT/Canada border, camping along the way (also her first time camping!) We continued on back down through Vermont, popped into New Hampshire for a bit, then Massachusetts, Connecticut and finally home, about 1,500 miles over 4 days.
Round 2 will be coming just after Labor Day. We'll be setting out up into the Catskills region of NY, back down through Pennsylvania to Gettysburg and then hit Skyline Drive and the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, ending up at the Tail of the Dragon, then continuing back home through Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, and NJ. 10 states, 2,700 miles over 8 Days!

My wife and I spent 7 days riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and various surrounding roads this summer. We went to the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, rode Moonshiner 28, the Dragon and the Cherahala Skyway along with several other roads with awesome names. Had a blast and can't wait to do it again

I know I have a Road King but still a touring bike. Might add a detachable batwing later. Not much but local riding this summer, but in October the ole lady and I are finally going to get hitched and plan to go to Seiverville,TN for honeymoon. Hopefully take the bike and ride the Dragon's Tail.

A couple of pictures from my 4400 mile ride last year.
I leave again this year on the day after labor day. My rough route is 5100 miles with the Harley Museum in Milwaukee as my furthest East destination. This is my "PLAN"

but I never seem to stick to the plan. I will get to the museum for sure, the rest is subject to change.
