Default Horn

The horn on my 2013 street glide just died. It works but sounds like crap. You can barely hear it. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks.

My horn started to act up just recently, sounds like a sick cat. Mine is getting old though, so I am planning on replacing it.

Stock horns are made from thin hard vibrating plate and they easely rust. Get an air horn.

Pull it off and check for dirt dobbers. They like to make nests in places like that. Just a thought...

Mine crapped out on me and sounded like a sick duck after riding in Florida through some torrential downpour.

You can replace it with a standard car horn... or take it in, the warranty should cover it.

DresserDude : You probably have water in it, take it off and turn it upside down. This has happened to me twice now.

Once you have made sure the horn is dry and clear on insect nesting material, there is a "tuning screw" with a lock nut on the horn. A quarter to half turn one way or the other should get you back in business. The horn on my son's '11 Road Glide was much louder than the one on my Road King. I fiddled with that screw on my horn and both horns are about the same now.

May sound silly, but spray some WD 40 up into the horn. They get corroided internally.
