Default Fuel Gauge and Fuel Range Function crapped out

The fuel gauge and the Fuel Range Function on my 2010 Road Glide crapped out in the middle of today's ride. (Gauge is on E, and the Fuel Range reads ---). My first thought was a blown fuse, but the other gauges are working fine and I believe the Service Manual indicates that they are all on one fuse.

If this is the case, is it likely the sending unit? Anyone else have this happen?

wouldn't be the fuse

could be a hose is wrapped around the sender in teh tank- open it up and see if the float is moving freely

the sender uses a yellow/wht wire to the gauge

range is tied to the gauge so if it fails the range will also - agree that the sender is most likely at fault.

Turns out that the problem was the fuel gauge connector inside the fairing became disconnected, resulting in the fuel gauge malfunction. Rerouted the wire so it wasn't so tight and zip tied it. Problem solved.
