Default Progressive 944 shocks "NEED HELP"

I just bought a 2012 Ultra limited. The guy that had it put Progressive 944's on it. This thing rides rougher then a Sporty. I don't know if they just needs adjusted or what but so far I hate the ride. My wife and I travel cross country 2up and pull a trailer. We are used to cush ride of our old ultra. Does anyone know if these can be adjusted for a soft ride and if so how?

Those come with either a heavy duty or standard spring. I had them set up both ways, HD and standard.....both ways sucked. To harsh. Good luck

Turn the knurled aluminum top caps to adjust them... screw in to stiffen, screw out to lighten. They may be stuck if they haven't been turned in a while.

There should be a little sticker.

944-4020 UT = Heavy duty
944-4002 UT = Standard
