HELP! 88" to 95" big bore advice
HELP! Please read the whole thing. Need engine advice. Looking to do a 95" big bore kit on my 01 88" road king (magnetti Marrielli or however you spell it) there is someone local selling a complete top end (jugs, pistons, pushrods, heads) but it is from a 06' softail. I know that the touring bikes have an "A" motor while the softails have a "B" motor, but could I use these parts on my bike? I don't know if the difference between the motors is in the top or bottom end, from my research I think that this will work, but I need clarification.
-Here is what the he says:
Screaming Eagle 95" Jugs with Pistons. Screaming Eagle Pot/Polished Head. Off an 06 Soft Tail. Set of Screaming Eagle Push Rods
If the parts work, I'm pretty sure this is everything I need right? Is a cam upgrade necessary? Are stock fuel injectors ok to use? I have a Dynatek FI controller tuner, has 3 "pots" to manually tune the bike. This is from their website:
-The FI Controller is preprogrammed with 4 base fuel curves. The curves are selected using the switch labeled BASE. These curves adjust fuel delivery based on throttle position and RPM, providing the right amount of fuel under all conditions. The 4 fuel curves correspond to varying levels of performance modifications. The levels of modification are broken down into the following groups.
Base Curve 1 - Stock or basic modifications. This includes slip on exhausts, intakes, air boxes, and air filters. It will also work for headers or full exhaust systems.
Base Curve 2 - Motor upgrades. This includes cams, 95 ci motors.
Base Curve 3 - More extensive motor upgrades. This includes 103 ci motors, cams, ported heads.
I know this is a very big questions but please bare with me haha....If this is possible I will do it myself, I have basically done everything you can think of except engine work. Thank you in advance

Our engines are originally built to meet EPA specs, which cover not only exhaust emissions but also noise. The stock cams are part of the original package, so yes, you should consider changing them, to get the benefits of your bigger cylinders. It sounds as if SE heads are included, which is even more of a reason to change cams!

Andrews 26's are designed to work with an 88 to 95 inch bb kit. If budget allows I'd strongly urge replacing the cam plate/oil pump assembly while you have it apart. The billet piece is nice, but a stock plate from an 06 and up Dyna or any 07 and up touring bike will work. It eliminates the spring loaded cam chain tensioners and is a noticeable improvement in oil pressure. The Andrews 26N will drop right in. http://www.andrewsproducts.com/sites...2014-page5.pdf
