It's off an 02 model, it's the same cam plate you already have so you're not gaining anything with the plate. The 203 cams are so so, there are better choices.

Default HELP! 88" to 95" big bore advice

May be mistaken but SE heads for an 06 88/95 to apply to a pre 06 require new intake seal flanges 26993-06 (2).

$400 for cylinders, pistons and heads seems reasonable. SE ported heads are north of $1K. 3-7/8 cylinders are $300 each bought separately. Plus Pistons. With only 2000 miles, I'd ask "why selling"?

Can someone recommend good and reasonably* priced cams? Maybe something in the used market because I am on a budget. To Weavr99FLHT, are you saying its a deal to good to be true, that somthing is fishy?

Again, there is no way to recommend a cam without knowing what ya are getting and what kind of power ya want? There are lots of 95 pistons and SE heads, not to mention any work done to the heads??? A little research will go a long way...

I have another question, don't want to start another thread:I wanted to do 95" jugs, heads, pistons, and cams. I found a deal locally for 103" top end including the jugs, cams, heads, and Pistons. Isn't the bore size the same for the 95 and 103? 3.875? I know I would need to have flywheel assembly for if I wanted it to be a real 103, but if I installed just the top end, wouldn't it be a 95" motor now?

Try looking up overall dimensions on 103 and 95 inch jugs. With the 103's increased stroke, TDC on the 103 will be taller, my guess is it won't work.

While the jugs, heads and bore is the same the pistons have a different pin height to make up for the longer stroke. So 103 pistons won't work in a 88/95.

I hear ya when you say budget but you are going to sacrifice. I originally put Andrews 57 cams in my 88 with the anticipation of a 95. Ended up with an S&S 97 and although the build is still in progress I trust my Indy and this combination will lift the front end. Paid about 8 bills for the 97 and can't recall the cam job price but guessing $1,500 total. Your bike, your call. I hope you get what you are hoping to achieve. BTW, my Road King had about 97 + K when I did the top end.

Don't waste your money, the 88 is a better engine. Do a tuner on it and let it roll.

Most people really like the 95" and w/ the 5 speed it will run away from larger ones. I am suspicious of buying ebay parts from someone I don't know and you might be able to make a deal w/ an indy or even a trusted HD to do the larger bore and check everything out and build a package w/ warranty for not too much more but you might come out much cheaper in the end.
