I have a 2013 flhtk and am thinking about a quick detach tour pack and getting a solo seat. I have just bought a backrest and don't want to give it up. If I decide to go this route can I keep my backrest? Would a street glide seat be the way to go and keep backrest? What is the part number for detach bracket I will need for tour pack. Thanks for any good ideas. PS Wife don't ride with me that much so I thought I would sport the ultra limited up a bit.

 

Need more details. Are you running the stock seat? What quick detach bracket are you looking at, solo or two up? What back rest did you already purchase?

For a solo seat though, if you are running a stock Harley back rest it will not work with say, a lapera or Danny Gray and you would need one specific to there seat. I have a c&c with their backrest but also a solo quick detach for my tour pack that can act like a backrest for long trips. All depends if you want the tour pack to be your backrest or keep it in the stock position over the rear of the bike.
