Default 04 road King efi tuner question

I recently bought an 04 Road King classic.88 efi It had 7400 miles on it. The only mods done to it was a stage 1. It has the "older" screaming eagle mufflers and a different air cleaner, not sure what one. I get the decel pop . I want to get the fuel moto fm-807 will that stop the popping ? Has anyone used this tuner? I don't plan on doing anything else to the bike. Just want to ride it . Thanks for the info

Tim

ETA : maybe get some taller bars too!

My '05 had a stage 1 when I got it and it popped like a mother! I thought the valves were going to burn out of it. I read the plugs and it was running lean as hell (which is why I got such a good deal, the owner had no idea what he'd done). It's got V&H Dressers and a Ness Big Sucker II. I called Fuel Moto and got a PC III for mine. They set it up and sent it to me. A quick install and my bike has never run better. That was 5 years ago and its still going strong! I highly recommend Fuel Moto. Good guys that know their stuff over there. Give 'em a call and they'll steer you right.

I added the Vance & Hines FuelPak on my 04 RK and it stopped all the decel pop. Also added the AN Big Sucker to the otherwise stock bike. Runs cooler and better mileage! If that are all the mods you plan to do, you may want to check the VH Fuelpak, not so many bells and whistles, but do you need them? Save some coin for a ride.

That's the same one I run, it's the only one thats ever been on my now 10 year old bike. Had it dyno tuned without issue, the shop was well versed with it. Works for me, and Fuel Moto has terrific tech support.

Thanks guys!

I was wondering the same thing about doing damage to the motor . I have no experience with motorcycles at all this is my first bike, besides a dirt bike many many years ago.

I added the Fuel Moto PCIII to my 04 RK with a screamin eagle heavy breather, Bassani Road Rage II exhaust, a few months ago and I love it. Eliminated the decel pop and runs great.
