Default Vance & Hines Quiet Baffles

Has anyone tried the V&H quiet baffles? If so, how much different did it make in loudness. I currently am running V&H big shots with fish tail tips and it's too loud for me at highway speeds.

I ordered and used a set on a previously owned metric cruiser that had some V&H long shots on it. The quiet baffles did lower the volume of the pipes and it still sounded good. To me, the quiet baffles looked like regular baffles with extra packing around them. If I had it to do over, I would have just pulled the regular baffles and repacked or added more packing around them. I'm fairly sure that would produce the same results for a little less investment.

Tried them in the staggered long shots I had on an 04 Fatty; the reduction was absolutely minimal.

I just went from straights to stock to quiets.. (Straight Shots)
Went from way too loud, to "too loud" to "pretty loud"
The quiets just take a bit of the edge off..
V&H says ~3db, I would say that is pretty much on..
Did pick up a bit better tone
I can live with it but I do not do hours long stints (plus I wear earplugs)

I ride with a guy that has "Big Shots" on quiets, they are better than the "straights" but still pretty loud..

If they are really bugging you on stock baffles, the "quiets" probably wont make enough difference IMHO..

What Greg said, it will deepen the tone and make it seem "quieter" than stock - not sure how quiet you were looking for but worth a try
