Default Normal or a symptom of something seriously wrong

2008 UC with 42k. Michelin Commander II's, dyna beads and approx 1k on them.

Riding straight, level blacktop rural road at about 45mph and for the first time ever I lifted my hands just barely off the handlebar and bike immediately goes left at about a 45 degree angle. Thought maybe the road sloped to my left but not readily noticeable. Found another straight blacktop that appeared level from shoulder to shoulder. Ever so slightly lifted hands off handlebar and same thing occurred. Tires wearing normally, no unusual vibrations. Bike sits level on center stand. Forks are even with no leaks.

Is this a symptom of something mechanically that needs corrrected or related to the gyroscopic effect of motorcycles?

try moving your tool kit from the left bag to the right bag.

clutch cable has adequate slack. next time out will close lower vents and make sure fairing wind deflectors are closed.

The 'crown' on a two lane road will make the bike pull to the left. Try doing the same thing on the wrong side of the road.See if it pulls to the right,or stays straight. That being said,my '06 DOES drift to the left ordinarily,[just slightly, and under varying conditions-like wind direction] it is not right, but I'm not really worried about it.
You say 'immediately pulls left'-that's a concern.

That's interesting!!! I have a 2014 Heritage when I first bought it. I took my hands off the bars and the bike was perfectly straight. Now I have 7500 miles on it and If I take my hands off the bars the bike goes to the left gradually.. No one ever took the wheels off. or did any work to the bike other than service and I too use dyna beads if that matters.....swifty

duly noted. reckon just about every road has some degree of a crown. "immediately" may have been a little strong.
