Thanks all. It is the head gasket (between the two sets of finned cylinders) and not the rocker box cover. The oil is clearly coming from there,and I'm assuming from the wind while riding it's ending up in the side cover and underside of saddlebag. I only noticed it earlier this week but would explain the mess a few weeks ago when I went on an 8 hour ride and noticed the same oil when came home. I'll try to post a pic.
